Former NBA player and three-time Olympian, Andrew Bogut, has sold his Beaumaris, VIC property for a suburb record price less than a week after he exclusively listed it for sale on Listing Loop.

The local buyer, with a vested interest in the “Golden Mile” of Melbourne’s prestigious Bayside suburb, wasted no time negotiating to come to an agreement late Sunday evening.

Listing agent, Eleisha Doherty from Kay & Burton Bayside, said she was overwhelmed by the level of interest in 401 Beach Road Beaumaris, which was priced at $11-12 million, expressions of interest.

“As soon as the campaign went live on Listing Loop last Monday, I was inundated with interest from buyers locally, around Australia and from people overseas familiar with the location.”

The one-of-a-kind property, which sold for an undisclosed sum, offered the unique option to retain the existing four-bedroom home, which Bogut purchased in 2015, or to develop the spectacular beachside residence that the former NBA champion jumped through bureaucratic hoops to get approved. Approved council plans and architectural renderings were included in the deal.

At just under 2,400m², the property sale included the original residential block and an adjacent block of land, making it one of Melbourne’s most prized addresses in real estate.
